Based on real photographic evidence of Japanese atrocities during the Nanjing Massacre, the film follows a group of ordinary people in Nanjing who take shelter in a photo studio. For survival, they are forced to develop photos for the Japanese army’s photographer, only to accidentally uncover photographic evidence of the ongoing massacre. These innocent people merely wanted to survive the massacre, but faced with the unspeakable atrocities of the Japanese, they decide to preserve the negatives…
