Sam, Chiu and Fai used to be best buddies but the friendship has been strained after an incident a few years ago. Fai uses his power to force Sam to transfer to another squad and his men are hoping for a quiet Christmas Eve to see him off. When a call comes in regarding a small fire at a winery, the squad answers what they expect to be a routine job. However, they quickly learn that there is a natural gas pipeline nearby that threatens to plunge Hong Kong into total darkness if it isn’t shut down. A series of bad decisions are compounded by reckless new colleagues who have more gung-ho than sense, and the fact that a group of boy scouts have also become trapped inside the power station – including Chiu’s son! The firemen find their faith in each other pushed to their limits as they find themselves staring a fiery death in the face.
